Rob has been playing the drums for professional working bands for nearly 20 years . Over this time Rob has gained a love and passion for drumming to a diverse range of music styles, specializing in Rock, Dance, Disco and Popular music. He can also sing lead vocals, backing vocals, or rap, adding versatility and colour to the huge song list performed by Tall Poppies.

Drumming influences include Stewart Copeland (The Police), Phil Collins, Alex Van Halen ( Van Halen), Carter Beauford(Dave Matthew Band), and any Acid Jazz, R n B, or Drum n Bass band.

Rob is a co-founder and manager of the Tall Poppies. He started drumming in Christian Bands and his own first Covers band was formed at Christian City Church, Manukau.

Rob will be your contact on the day of your event and will aim to serve you with a “can do attitude”. He sets the P.A system up, he sings, he drums, he organizes microphones, break music, band music, he manages the band, he serves the clients, he can do it all !!!
